Personality: Little ball of fury? No. Not really. Ceara is somewhat of a mixture. She is exceptionally bright but in her younger days she often prefered to use that knowledge to cause trouble or to get out of doing work. She is also fiercely loyal of anything and everyone she loves and/or holds dear to her. If you're on her good side, Ceara can be an amazing person. She's friendly, flirtatious and even sometimes generous. But if you are on her bad side....run. After all, she has the Black Family temper.

Recent years have caused a change in Ceara. Following the events of 1981, Ceara essentially 'walked away' from the Wizarding World and has only recently returned to it. She is more guarded than she used to be and her temper is more easily raised.

Appearance: Ceara is short (5'4"), but slender. She has long black hair and dark blue eyes that at times seem almost black. In fact, her eyes are the most telling feature about Ceara and often will reveal her emotions long before her actions.

IQ: Ceara has a very high IQ but has never shown much interest in displaying it academically. She would much rather put her intelligence to use gaining something she is not suppose to have or pulling off some scheme.

BACKGROUND

Birthplace: 12 Grimmault Place (London, England)
Background: Ceara is the youngest child of the Black family, born fifteen minutes after her brother, Regulus. Being female, nothing much was ever expected of Ceara. The most her parents asked of her was that she be pretty, be well behaved, not disgrace the family, and marry well.

Before Hogwarts, she and Regulus spent nearly all of their time in their family's home. They attended classes with tutors, bothered the house elves, and generally enjoyed being children...provided their parents (or Sirius) weren't around. When their parents were around, they were still allowed to have their fun but it had to be quiet fun. The Blacks were not about to put up with their children running about like a bunch of muggle heathens. And when Sirius was around...well...he stole Ceara's attention. Ceara loved Regulus more than anything (and they understood each other better than anyone else ever could), but she hero-worshipped her older brother. She would follow him around whenever possible; and while this originally annoyed Sirius a great deal (who wants their baby sister hanging around), eventually the two formed a close relationship. Especially after Ceara and Regulus entered Hogwarts.

By the time Ceara and her twin reached Hogwarts, their parents had pretty much given up on Sirius bending to their will. This meant they had begun to turn their attention to Regulus. He became more and more a part of his parents' world while Ceara became closer and closer to Sirius. She still loved her twin more than anything, but she was beginning to feel that she longer understood him. This situation often left her playing middle man between her two brothers. Whatever. As long as they were both talking to her, she was happy.

Ceara was sorted into Gryffindor with Sirius while Regulus was sorted into Slytherin. In the dorms she roomed with two girls, Rhiannon and Triamon. The three became fast friends and are still friends to this day.

Her second year of Hogwarts, she joined the Quidditch team as a keeper. She would play this position until she graduated and would head the team her seventh year.

Her fourth year of Hogwarts, her relationship with Sirius was put through the ultimate test. Doing poorly in potions, Ceara was threatened with being kicked off the team unless she pulled her grade up. McGonagall found her a tutor and before she knew it, Ceara found herself forced to spend time with Severus Snape -- a boy her parents would have loved but she knew her brother despised. At first she hated this idea but as time wore on she found out there was a bit more to him (especially after a late night Q&A with Lily Evans). And so they began spending even more time together. Sirius was livid. It was the final nail in the coffin of insults Snape had been building against him and his friends. And so the Whomping Willow incident was set up.

It was then Ceara's turn to be pissed. She had known Sirius was reckless...but homicidal? Was he crazy? They stopped speaking to each other for a while and Ceara turned to Severus more and more. It wasn't until almost a year later that Ceara and Sirius spoke again -- right before his graduation. During this time, she regretted more than ever the rift between her and Regulus -- there were so many times she wanted to talk to him...to hear his opinions...but everytime she tried she found it was like talking to her parents. It was then she found out that he had joined the Death Eaters.

Her last few years of Hogwarts, Ceara devoted herself to Quidditch and her goal of becoming an Auror.

After graduation, she moved in with Severus. Though Sirius had told her multiple times that he was Death Eater, she refused to listen. The two married quietly, witnessed only by Regulus.

Though invited to the Potter's wedding, Ceara did not go. The news of Regulus' disappearance came not three days before the event. Ceara knew Regulus' disappearance had something to do with Voldemort, but how to prove it was a mystery. Especially when Kreacher refused to speak of what he knew.

Two years after her marriage (and a year after the birth of her children), Ceara realized that Sirius had been right all along. He was a Death Eater and not an unimportant one. And so she fled. She took their children and fled to Ireland to stay with her friend and former roomate, Rhi.

She has stayed in Ireland for four years before returning to the muggle part of London. She has lived there ever since keeping minimal contact with the wizarding world (reading the daily prophet, occasional letters to Remus and Andromeda) and trying to put the pain of her past behind her. When Becca and RJ's Hogwarts letters arrived, Ceara was forced to decline. Sending them to Hogwarts was...well...there was the small issue of her past, which she was still trying to avoid.

However, her past came looking for you during the summer of 1993. After Sirius' escape from Azkaban, the ministry left no stone unturned. This included the questioning of his sister. Surely if anyone knew his whereabouts, she would. The truth was, Ceara did not know where Sirius was. She had heard about the escape but Sirius had made no move to contact her. This seemed to satisfy the ministry for a while but not forever. Cornelius Fudge was very...enthusiastic about finding Sirius. Especially after the rumors of Voldemort's return started circulating. It was as if he needed a big arrest to make himself look good.

Knowing no good could come of this, Ceara sent Becca and RJ to Rhi. Two days later, Ceara was taken in for questioning. She never received Dumbledore's letter. Nor was she anywhere to be found when Remus was sent to find her.

Unable to get anything from her, the ministry is forced to stop their games and admit that Ceara knows nothing about her brother. After being let go, Ceara returned to her apartment only long enough to send letter to Rhi and then it was off to Hogwarts. There were things Dumbledore needed to know...things she had overheard while at the Ministry. Of course, this means facing the ghosts (and the people) of her past.
